UX Researcher

One of Nordic Investin’s partner companies is looking for an UX Researcher, with Nordic Investin leading the recruitment process. You know how to ask a question without quietly designing the answer into the research.

The partner wants stronger user evidence across product discovery and continuous improvement. You will plan research that clarifies behaviour, needs and decision context, then help teams use the findings without flattening nuance or overstating certainty.

Design is embedded in product and service decisions rather than added after scope is fixed. The team expects evidence, accessibility and implementation constraints to be considered from the beginning and revisited after release.

You will join a multidisciplinary team and move between discovery, design, delivery and learning after launch. The partner expects assumptions to be made visible, prototypes to answer real questions and design decisions to remain understandable when they reach engineering and operations.

As a specialist, you will own a defined professional area and be trusted to move work forward independently. You are expected to recognise when a question requires wider expertise, explain recommendations clearly and improve the methods or tools used by colleagues around you.

• Develop research plans tied to product and business decisions.

• Recruit appropriate participants and choose suitable methods.

• Conduct interviews, observation, concept tests and usability studies.

• Synthesise evidence into clear themes and implications.

• Build reusable research knowledge and ethical consent practices.

• Coach product teams in lightweight research activities.

• Professional qualitative user research experience.

• Strong interviewing, synthesis and facilitation capability.

• Ability to distinguish observation from interpretation.

• Experience working with product and design teams.

• Sound research ethics and data handling judgement.

• Professional English and excellent written communication.

• Quantitative research or survey design.

• Research operations and participant panels.

• Experience with vulnerable or specialised user groups.

Your route may include psychology, anthropology, design research, market research or product development. The partner values methodological care, but also expects you to make research timely and useful enough to influence decisions before delivery begins.

You will have access to important product questions and colleagues willing to act on evidence. The role provides room to improve individual studies and the wider research culture around them.

The exact partner, employment model, compensation, start date and working arrangement will be explained openly during the process. Nordic Investin will make sure you understand the context, expectations and decision path before you are asked to commit significant time.

During the process, Nordic Investin will focus on concrete decisions you have made: the context you received, the alternatives you considered, the result you observed and what you would change today. You do not need every optional credential if your core experience transfers and you can explain how you would close the gap.
