Hykmann Global Business Solutions AB is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer for an exciting consulting assignment in connected mobility and digital services in Gothenburg, Sweden.

🔧 About the Role

You will join a small, experienced engineering team developing a digital service that connects vehicles, charging infrastructure, service providers, and customer systems.

Your focus will be on building and evolving backend services using Python and AWS, developing integrations, and helping prepare the platform for broader customer use. You will contribute to architectural decisions, API design, security, testing, and operational readiness while collaborating with engineers, product stakeholders, and external partners.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Python on AWS.
• Build integrations connecting vehicle data, charging networks, service providers, and customer systems.
• Translate product requirements and partner use cases into practical technical solutions.
• Contribute to system architecture, API design, data flows, and security.
• Write automated tests and participate in code reviews to maintain software quality.
• Improve development workflows and support reliable delivery.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, architects, product stakeholders, and external partners.
• Prepare the service for production and broader customer adoption, focusing on reliability and operational readiness.
• Take ownership of technical challenges and contribute to the continued evolution of the product.

✅ Required Skills & Experience

• Strong professional experience in backend software development.
• Python development experience is essential.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-based services.
• Solid software engineering practices, including automated testing, code reviews, and maintainable system design.
• Experience developing APIs, integrations, or distributed backend services.
• Ability to evaluate technical alternatives and make sound engineering decisions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Confidence working with external partners and international teams.
• Interest in connected vehicles, electric mobility, and digital services.

⭐ Nice to Have

• Experience with Java.
• Knowledge of EV charging systems and charging infrastructure.
• Familiarity with OCPI or other EV charging and roaming standards.
• Experience with automotive telematics and connected vehicle services.
• Experience integrating systems across multiple organisations and service providers.
• Familiarity with production readiness, service reliability, and cloud operations.
