🔧 About the Role

You will join an open-minded and collaborative software engineering team working primarily with Java, microservices, and serverless architectures. The team values experimentation, knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and thoughtful engineering decisions.

You will take responsibility for the services you help build, from understanding requirements and designing solutions to implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing support. The team follows agile practices and emphasises DevSecOps, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.

Stakeholder support and on-call responsibilities are shared across the team, offering an opportunity to contribute to both development and the reliable operation of production services.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services using Java.
• Build and enhance applications based on microservices and serverless architectures.
• Develop cloud-native solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and SQS.
• Collaborate with colleagues through pair programming and mob programming.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, with a focus on long-term quality.
• Analyze existing code, understand technical problems, and identify appropriate solutions.
• Design and implement automated tests to ensure reliability and prevent regressions.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, planning, refinement, and continuous improvement activities.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and reliable production deployments.
• Support the services developed by the team, including troubleshooting and shared on-call responsibilities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and other technical teams to deliver business value.
• Share knowledge and contribute to a culture of collective ownership and engineering excellence.

✅ Required Skills & Experience

We are looking for a collaborative developer with strong Java fundamentals and an interest in modern cloud engineering.

• Strong development skills in Java.
• Understanding of microservices and serverless architectures.
• Experience working with agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS), preferably including:
• AWS Lambda
• API Gateway
• DynamoDB
• SQS
• CloudFormation
• Willingness to work collaboratively through pair programming and mob programming.
• Ability to analyze problems, evaluate alternative solutions, and consider how code can be tested and maintained.
• Strong collaboration and knowledge-sharing skills.
• Fluency in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.

• Container-based architectures and technologies.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Spring Boot and the Java ecosystem.
