Senior Industrial Designer R&D

We are looking for a creative and experienced Industrial Designer for a consulting assignment within an international technology and engineering organization in Västerås.

You will join an R&D environment focused on developing next-generation automation and advanced industrial solutions, where functionality, aesthetics, usability, and user experience are key elements of the product development process.

In this role, you will contribute your own ideas, develop innovative design concepts, and work closely with cross-functional teams throughout the development and productization process.

As an Industrial Designer, you will:

• Develop innovative industrial design concepts for advanced technology products and solutions.
• Create and develop 3D models from early concepts through more mature design stages.
• Produce high-quality product visualizations and presentations.
• Contribute ideas and design solutions that combine functionality, aesthetics, manufacturability, and user experience.
• Collaborate with global, cross-functional teams within R&D, engineering, product development, and other relevant functions.
• Support the productization process, helping transform concepts into solutions suitable for production.
• Independently identify design challenges and contribute to practical and innovative solutions.
• Stay up to date with developments, methods, and trends within industrial design and relevant technology areas.

Requirements

To be successful in this assignment, you should have:

• Master’s degree in Industrial Design.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as an Industrial Designer.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks.
• Strong proficiency in KeyShot.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating industrial design expertise, including concept development, 3D modelling, visualization, and product design.
• Experience working in product development and/or R&D environments.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in cross-functional and international teams.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

• We are looking for someone who is creative, technically skilled, solution-oriented, and curious. You have a strong sense of form, function, and user experience and are comfortable translating ideas into tangible design concepts.
• You enjoy working in an innovative R&D environment and can balance creativity with technical and commercial considerations throughout the product development process.

This is a full-time consultant position through Incluso, starting in Mid-October. It is a one-year contract with the possibility of extension.
