Assignment Description
We are looking for an experienced FPGA & Embedded Developer to join an advanced embedded team within the space industry in Uppsala.
The role combines FPGA development, embedded software and system-level development, with integration against Linux- and FreeRTOS-based platforms. You will contribute across the development lifecycle, from requirements and architecture through implementation, verification and integration.
The role suits someone who enjoys working at the intersection of hardware and software and can turn high-level or incomplete requirements into practical technical solutions.
What You Will Work On
- Develop FPGA-based functions and systems
- Design, implement and verify embedded solutions
- Contribute to system architecture and technical decisions
- Integrate FPGA and embedded solutions with Linux and FreeRTOS
- Work with high-speed interfaces and communication protocols
- Develop hardware-near software and digital electronics solutions
- Translate high-level requirements and concepts into technical implementations
- Collaborate with FPGA, embedded and system developers
- Participate throughout the development lifecycle from concept to integration
- Use modern AI-based development tools to improve development and troubleshooting
What You Bring
- Relevant higher education in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics or equivalent
- Several years of hands-on FPGA development experience
- Strong embedded development experience
- Experience with Linux-based development environments
- Good understanding of digital electronics and hardware-near development
- Experience with high-speed interfaces and communication protocols
- Ability to develop technical solutions from high-level or incomplete requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Swedish citizenship is required
