Assignment Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Production Engineer to support production development and continuous improvement within an assembly manufacturing environment in Västerås.
The role focuses on assembly methods, production processes, PFMEA, work instructions, Lean and World Class Manufacturing, with close collaboration with operators, line technicians, line managers and other production support functions.
You will contribute to solving production problems and improving health & safety, quality, delivery and production flow.
What You Will Work On
- Develop and improve assembly methods and production processes
- Create and maintain work instructions
- Develop and maintain PFMEA
- Ensure suitable tools and equipment are available at the correct production stations
- Support operators and line technicians in daily production activities
- Analyse and solve production-related problems
- Participate in weekly production and improvement meetings
- Drive continuous improvement within the assigned production area
- Support efficient production flow and delivery performance
- Apply Lean and World Class Manufacturing principles
- Work with ERP systems and production-related IT
- Collaborate with production management and support functions
What You Bring
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Production Engineer
- Experience developing or improving assembly factories
- Master's degree in Production Engineering, Supply Chain or similar
- Good knowledge of ERP systems
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
- Good knowledge of World Class Manufacturing (WCM)
- Experience with assembly methods and production processes
- Experience with PFMEA and work instructions
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work closely with operators, technicians and production management
- Strong ownership and continuous-improvement mindset
- Good sense of urgency when supporting production flow
