Finance Director Nordic Operations

Nordic Investin is recruiting a Finance Director Nordic Operations on behalf of one of our partner companies. You can protect financial discipline while helping operational leaders move faster on the decisions that create value.

The partner is seeking a finance director for a Nordic operating area with several business units and legal entities. You will lead performance management, financial governance and strategic decision support while developing finance leaders across the region.

Finance leadership is expected to protect trust in the numbers while improving the quality and pace of business decisions. Strong performance combines control, commercial judgement, clear priorities and development of the people delivering the work.

You will combine leadership of the finance agenda with direct engagement in important decisions and exceptions. The partner expects clear standards, useful challenge and enough technical depth to support the team when judgement is required. Improvement must strengthen both control and service.

At director level, you will shape priorities across organisational boundaries and represent the function in consequential business decisions. You are expected to bring a coherent view, develop leaders and remain accountable when strategy meets operational reality. Influence must be matched by clear ownership.

• Lead the regional finance agenda and management team partnership.

• Own planning, forecasting and performance review.

• Guide investment, pricing and resource allocation decisions.

• Ensure strong accounting, controls and statutory compliance.

• Develop finance leaders and clarify operating responsibilities.

• Represent the region in group finance and executive forums.

• Experience leading managers across units or countries.

• Evidence of influencing investment and strategic decisions.

• Transformation, integration or shared service change.

You may have progressed through controlling, operational finance, accounting leadership or consulting. The partner needs someone who can move comfortably from a board discussion to a difficult operational variance and still preserve a coherent financial view.

This is a broad leadership mandate with direct impact on strategy, performance and organisational capability. You will shape how finance partners the business and how the region makes and follows through on major decisions.

The exact partner, employment model, compensation, start date and working arrangement will be explained openly during the process. Nordic Investin will make sure you understand the context, expectations and decision path before you are asked to commit significant time.

During the process, Nordic Investin will focus on concrete decisions you have made: the context you received, the alternatives you considered, the result you observed and what you would change today. You do not need every optional credential if your core experience transfers and you can explain how you would close the gap.
