Enterprise Architect

On behalf of a partner company, Nordic Investin is looking for an Enterprise Architect. You can turn strategy into a small number of technology decisions that programmes and product teams can actually use.

The partner is simplifying a broad application and platform estate while investing in cloud, data and digital services. You will connect business capabilities with target architecture and guide investment across organisational boundaries.

The work spans organisational boundaries and requires both technical understanding and disciplined communication. Decisions must remain useful when they reach delivery teams, suppliers and operational owners.

You will work across teams with different incentives, technical histories and decision rights. The partner expects concise preparation, visible dependencies and follow through after meetings. Strong performance means that people understand what was decided, why it matters and what they now own.

As a senior colleague, you will own substantial outcomes and help others make stronger decisions. You are expected to recognise risk early, communicate it without drama and move work forward with practical alternatives. The role still includes hands on delivery; seniority here means broader judgement, not distance from the work.

• Map capabilities, information and technology dependencies.

• Define target architecture and sequenced transition initiatives.

• Assess major investments, duplication and lifecycle risk.

• Create principles and standards with clear decision rights.

• Support portfolio planning and architecture governance.

• Explain complex tradeoffs to executive and technical audiences.

• Extensive architecture or senior technology leadership experience.

• Broad understanding of applications, integration, data and infrastructure.

• Evidence of influencing investment across several domains.

• Ability to work with incomplete information and expose assumptions.

• Strong facilitation and concise written communication.

• Professional English; Swedish may be required for public sector work.

• Mergers, carve outs or major operating model change.

• Government or regulated enterprise architecture.

• Capability based planning and portfolio management.

You may come from solution architecture, technology strategy, programme leadership or senior engineering. The partner needs someone who is broad without becoming vague and who can follow decisions through to implementation.

The role offers access to senior decision makers and a portfolio large enough for architecture choices to matter. You will help direct investment toward a simpler, more coherent technology estate.

The exact partner, employment model, compensation, start date and working arrangement will be explained openly during the process. Nordic Investin will make sure you understand the context, expectations and decision path before you are asked to commit significant time.

During the process, Nordic Investin will focus on concrete decisions you have made: the context you received, the alternatives you considered, the result you observed and what you would change today. You do not need every optional technology if your core experience transfers and you can explain how you would close the gap.
