DevOps Engineer

Nordic Investin has been engaged by a partner company to find a DevOps Engineer. You like removing the manual steps that slow delivery and create avoidable risk.

The partner needs a practical DevOps engineer to improve build, deployment and environment workflows across several teams. You will automate repeatable work, strengthen feedback loops and help developers own production more confidently.

The platform is treated as a service used by engineers and business teams. Success will be measured through safer change, lower operational friction and clearer ownership rather than the number of tools introduced.

The work combines planned platform development with investigation of real production behaviour. You will collaborate with application teams, security and operations, using their feedback to decide what should become a shared service, an automated control or clear documentation. Ownership continues after the first release.

You will receive meaningful ownership while working with senior colleagues on the most consequential decisions. The partner expects you to deliver independently within a clear area, ask for context early and contribute ideas grounded in what you observe. There is room to deepen your specialism or broaden toward adjacent responsibilities.

• Build and maintain CI CD pipelines.

• Automate cloud infrastructure and environment configuration.

• Improve container build, registry and deployment workflows.

• Integrate security and quality checks into delivery pipelines.

• Support monitoring, release troubleshooting and incident follow up.

• Document reusable patterns and help teams adopt them.

• Three or more years in DevOps, platform or cloud engineering.

• Experience with Git based CI CD platforms.

• Terraform, Bicep or another infrastructure as code tool.

• Comfort with Linux, scripting and containers.

• Working knowledge of Azure or AWS.

• Professional English and an improvement focused mindset.

• Kubernetes and GitOps.

• Software development beyond scripting.

• Developer experience or internal tooling.

Your background may be system administration, development, test automation or cloud operations. We value evidence that you have simplified a real delivery process and supported the people who depend on it.

You will work on problems with immediate feedback: shorter lead times, fewer failed releases and clearer environments. The role also provides a strong path toward platform engineering or site reliability work.

The exact partner, employment model, compensation, start date and working arrangement will be explained openly during the process. Nordic Investin will make sure you understand the context, expectations and decision path before you are asked to commit significant time.

During the process, Nordic Investin will focus on concrete decisions you have made: the context you received, the alternatives you considered, the result you observed and what you would change today. You do not need every optional technology if your core experience transfers and you can explain how you would close the gap.
