Commercial Controller

Nordic Investin is recruiting a Commercial Controller on behalf of one of our partner companies. You can move from customer economics to pricing logic and commercial action without losing control of the underlying numbers.

The partner is strengthening commercial finance across sales, contracts and product or service profitability. You will analyse performance, improve pricing and support negotiations while creating a clearer view of customer and portfolio value.

Controlling is expected to connect financial results with the operational and commercial drivers behind them. The strongest analysis leads to a clearer choice, an owned action and disciplined follow up rather than another unexplained report.

You will work close to the stakeholders responsible for revenue, cost, projects or operations. The partner expects you to test assumptions, explain uncertainty and translate analysis into a small number of useful actions. Credibility will come from both financial discipline and curiosity about the business.

As a senior colleague, you will own substantial outcomes and help others make stronger decisions. You are expected to recognise risk early, communicate it without drama and move work forward with practical alternatives. Seniority here means broader judgement and follow through, not distance from delivery.

• Analyse revenue, margin and customer profitability.

• Develop pricing models and commercial decision support.

• Evaluate tenders, contracts and investment cases.

• Support sales leaders in forecasting and pipeline quality.

• Identify margin leakage and follow improvement actions.

• Improve commercial reporting, definitions and governance.

• Commercial controlling or business finance experience.

• Strong pricing, margin and scenario modelling skills.

• Ability to challenge assumptions in sales and contract decisions.

• Experience communicating analysis to commercial stakeholders.

• Advanced spreadsheet and reporting capability.

• Professional English and strong business judgement.

• Subscription, services or project based revenue models.

• Contract interpretation and bid support.

• Power BI or pricing technology.

Your background may be business control, pricing, sales finance or commercial analysis. The partner values someone who can remain independent while working closely with sales and who understands that the best deal is not always the one with the largest headline revenue.

You will have direct access to commercial decisions and the mandate to improve how value is measured. The role offers visible impact on pricing quality, margin and resource allocation.

The exact partner, employment model, compensation, start date and working arrangement will be explained openly during the process. Nordic Investin will make sure you understand the context, expectations and decision path before you are asked to commit significant time.

During the process, Nordic Investin will focus on concrete decisions you have made: the context you received, the alternatives you considered, the result you observed and what you would change today. You do not need every optional credential if your core experience transfers and you can explain how you would close the gap.
