Om jobbet

Amaris Sweden is looking for a specialized CAE Crash Safety Analysis Engineer for a full-time consultant assignment with one of our clients in Gothenburg.

You’ll join the Front and Rear Structure Analysis team at a premium automotive OEM with a long history in vehicle safety and crash research. The team works on the structural crash performance of current and future vehicles, covering both low-speed and high-speed impact scenarios.

About the assignment

Your main responsibility will be advanced finite element simulation for crash safety development. You’ll develop and maintain virtual CAE crash models, run simulations, analyse results and compare them with physical test data.

You’ll also support the development of front structure solutions for high-speed crash load cases. Your work will cover model setup, simulation analysis, countermeasure definition and presenting results to engineering stakeholders.

Your work will contribute to:

  • Meeting legal crash safety requirements
  • Achieving NCAP safety ratings
  • Supporting internal safety standards
  • Developing front structure solutions for high-speed crash scenarios
  • Improving the correlation between simulation and physical testing

What you bring

  • MSc in Engineering or a similar technical discipline
  • At least 5 years of hands-on CAE crash experience within an automotive OEM or Tier-1 supplier
  • Strong experience with LS-DYNA, ANSA and MetaPost
  • Experience with front structure development for high-speed crash load cases
  • A structured and methodical way of working
  • The ability to communicate technical results clearly to cross-functional teams
  • A strong sense of ownership and the ability to work independently

Experience with the client’s product development process is an advantage. Scripting skills in Python, MATLAB or a similar language are also useful, as is experience with Teamcenter, VisMockup or CATIA.
