CAD Mechanical Engineer, Glass Systems

You will join a team that develops the glass systems of a vehicle, covering everything from windscreen and rear screen to door glass, quarter-glass, glass roof and rails. In this role, you will work close to both engineering and industrialization, contributing to components that are developed in-house and followed all the way into production. You will collaborate across functions from early project work to released parts, in an environment where precision in CAD and strong mechanical understanding make a real difference. This is a strong opportunity for you who enjoy detailed product development in a complex automotive setting.

• You will work with glass parts across several projects, mainly in the engineering and industrialization phases.
• You will provide technical design input for the parts your team is responsible for.
• You will create and update delivery models and produce 3D PMI for CAD models.
• You will work together with mechanical integration in the engineering template.
• You will perform clash analysis before release and update part templates when needed.
• You will collaborate in cross-functional teams from project start until the component is introduced in production.

• You have very good experience in Catia V5.
• You have very good experience in Team Center.
• You have very good knowledge of plastic construction.
• You have experience working with CAD models, delivery models and 3D PMI.
• You are used to collaborating in cross-functional teams.
