Om jobbet

About the Company

At Avaron, you get the security of permanent employment combined with the variety of working at different customers. We place specialists across everything from tech, IT and industry to project management and business support – and whatever the assignment, you have a consultant manager who is there for you and your development.

About the Role

You will lead testing for positioning in advanced autonomous robotic products where embedded software, sensors, connectivity and intelligent navigation need to work together reliably in the real world. The positioning area covers GNSS and RTK, LiDAR-based positioning, correction data, interfaces and integrations, and you will treat it as a subsystem with its own requirements, risks, behaviours and expected results.

In this role, you define how the positioning function should be verified and help the wider organisation understand its quality, limitations and readiness for integration. You will work close to software developers, system engineers, hardware engineers and other test teams, with a clear mandate to shape ways of working, improve test coverage and support technical decisions. It is a strong opportunity if you enjoy combining leadership, hands-on testing and deep technical analysis in a complex robotics environment.

Job Description
  • You lead and support a team of testers working with both manual and automated testing of positioning functionality.
  • You analyse requirements, interfaces, technical designs and expected behaviour to build the right test approach for the subsystem.
  • You define and drive test strategy across module, subsystem and integration levels, with clear coverage of risks and expected outcomes.
  • You create test plans that clarify what should be tested, how activities should be carried out and how work is prioritised across the team.
  • You decide what is best suited for automation and what should be validated manually.
  • You design and maintain test scenarios, test methods, environments and acceptance criteria that give meaningful technical evidence.
  • You coordinate testing in rigs, automated environments and physical products, and compare current behaviour with previous implementations.
  • You collect and analyse logs, measurements, statistics and test results to understand quality, deviations and trends.
  • You support fault isolation and help determine whether an issue belongs to positioning, an interface, another subsystem or the complete product.
  • You communicate status, risks, limitations and readiness during ongoing development, and contribute to both new solutions and maintenance of solutions already used by customers.
  • You help the team grow in technical depth, ownership and independence, while also improving tools, automation and ways of working.
Requirements
  • You have experience leading or coordinating testing activities within a technical team.
  • You have experience from testing embedded software, robotics, automotive systems or other complex products.
  • You have worked with module, subsystem, function and integration testing.
  • You have strong skills in requirements analysis, test planning and test design.
  • You have hands-on experience of both manual and automated testing.
  • You have solid experience analysing test results, logs, measurements and technical statistics.
  • You are comfortable with debugging, fault isolation and root cause analysis.
  • You have experience with GNSS, RTK, LiDAR, positioning systems, correction data, sensor systems or autonomous products.
Nice to have
  • Experience in test automation and scripting, preferably using Python or a similar language.
  • Experience working with test rigs, simulation, HIL, SIL or other automated test environments.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Git, Jira and Confluence.
What We Offer
  • Permanent employment at Avaron AB
  • Occupational pension
  • Wellness allowance of SEK 5,000 per year
