Previous experience as a Sushi Chef is an advantage, but the right attitude, professional pride, and willingness to learn and develop are equally important.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese-inspired dishes to high-quality standards.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and quality control of ingredients.
Contribute to menu development, new dishes, and seasonal concepts.
Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, and HACCP standards at all times.
Order, receive, and inspect deliveries and ingredients.
Contribute to efficient kitchen operations and smooth daily workflow.
Collaborate closely with fellow chefs, waitstaff, and restaurant management.
Ensure high-quality presentation and consistency of all dishes served.
Minimize waste and maximize the utilization of ingredients.
Participate in the daily cleaning and maintenance of kitchen facilities and equipment.

Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for a passionate and quality-driven Sushi Chef who takes pride in delivering exceptional food and guest experiences. The ideal candidate should have:
Experience as a Sushi Chef or relevant experience in Japanese cuisine
Strong knife skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of sushi, sashimi, rice preparation, and traditional Japanese cooking techniques
Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
The ability to maintain high quality and consistency in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
A positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
Creativity and interest in developing new dishes and menu concepts
The ability to work independently and take responsibility for your station
Strong focus on quality ingredients, presentation, and guest satisfaction
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Language Requirements
Good English communication skills

Salary:
Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and level of responsibility. As part of the Norwegian hospitality industry, Kragerø Resort follows the collective agreements (tariff agreements) applicable to the hotel and restaurant sector.
The salary range for this position is typically ?3,301 - ?3847 gross per month, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, employees may be eligible for supplements according to the collective agreement, including:
Evening shift supplements
Night shift supplements
Weekend supplements
Holiday pay and other tariff-regulated benefits
