The Group Accountant will be an important member of the Group Accounting team, contributing to accurate and timely consolidated financial reporting across the Group. The role supports the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing cycles and helps ensure that financial information provided to management, external stakeholders, and regulatory bodies is complete, reliable, and compliant.
The consultant will also help maintain consistent accounting practices throughout the organization, support consolidation and reporting activities, perform financial analysis, and contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and controls.
Key Responsibilities
The consultant will:
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual Group closing and consolidation activities, including preparing, reviewing, and validating consolidation entries.
Work closely with subsidiaries and relevant internal functions to ensure complete, accurate, and timely financial reporting.
Perform financial analyses and prepare documentation supporting management, statutory, and external reporting.
Support the preparation of IFRS financial statements, including disclosures and notes for quarterly and annual reporting.
Maintain and validate data in the Group consolidation system, ensuring consistency across entities.
Support the development, implementation, and documentation of Group accounting principles, policies, and procedures.
Participate in initiatives aimed at improving Group accounting, financial reporting, consolidation processes, and related systems.
Liaise with auditors and coordinate supporting documentation, explanations, and audit evidence.
Identify opportunities to strengthen accounting processes, internal controls, reporting quality, and efficiency.
Competence Requirements
The consultant should have:
5–7 years of relevant finance experience, preferably from a global corporate accounting function and/or an audit firm, including 2–3 years of hands-on Group Accounting and financial reporting experience.
Previous experience with compliance and financial reporting for listed companies – mandatory.
Experience with SOX compliance and reporting requirements for U.S.-listed companies is considered an advantage.
A university degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent field.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and a good understanding of Group consolidation principles.
Practical experience with financial reporting and monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
Strong Excel skills for financial analysis, reconciliations, and reporting.
Experience working with consolidation systems; previous experience with AARO is highly desirable.
Professional fluency in English, both written and spoken.

The consultant should be proactive, self-driven, and comfortable taking ownership of tasks and resolving issues independently. Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills are important, as the role involves close collaboration across different entities and functions.
The successful consultant should also have a structured and solution-oriented approach, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality.
