Job Description As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining a digital planning platform. You will work across frontend, backend, and data integrations, while contributing to the platform’s ongoing cloud migration from a Google Cloud-based environment towards Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities

• Develop a modern frontend application using Vue 3 and TypeScript, supported by a design system, component libraries, and SCSS.

• Build and improve Python-based backend services and REST APIs for search, project management, recommendations, analytics, and data exports.

• Develop database-backed features using PostgreSQL and SQL, with a focus on performance, data integrity, and maintainability.

• Contribute to cloud migration and platform operations on Microsoft Azure, using managed services for backend and frontend hosting.

• Collaborate with data and platform teams to improve integrations and transformation pipelines, supporting the transition towards Databricks-based solutions.

• Strengthen authentication, authorisation, automated testing, CI/CD, and monitoring to ensure secure and reliable releases.

• Contribute to technical decisions, conduct code reviews, and share knowledge across the team.

• Balance the delivery of new functionality with architectural improvements and simplification.

Required experience and skills

• At least five years of professional full-stack development experience, with responsibility for features from design through production.

• Strong skills in Vue.js and TypeScript, alongside Python and FastAPI.

• Practical experience developing and operating applications on Microsoft Azure, including containerised services, secure configuration, and monitoring.

• Hands-on experience with Databricks, including SQL-based transformations, data pipelines, and integration with application services.

• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.

• Experience designing secure REST APIs and implementing authentication and authorisation using standards such as OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect.

• Familiarity with automated testing, CI/CD, and troubleshooting production applications.

• Strong collaboration skills, sound technical judgement, and a commitment to writing clear, maintainable code.

Desirable experience

• Cloud migrations and incremental modernisation, with experience of other cloud platforms and data warehouses considered an advantage.

• Data transformation and orchestration using dbt, Dagster, or comparable tools.

• Data governance and sharing technologies, such as Unity Catalog and Delta Sharing.

• Infrastructure as code using Terraform and delivery automation with GitHub Actions.

• Enterprise identity integrations and Excel export generation using tools such as pandas and XlsxWriter.

Assignment details

Start date: 1 December 2026

End date: 31 August 2027, with the possibility of extension.

Workload: Full-time (100%). Application
