About the position

Perido is looking for a Senior Accounting Consultant on behalf of our client, a major bank operating in an international environment. In this role, you will play a key part in financial and regulatory reporting activities, supporting both local and group reporting requirements.

The position is situated in the north of Stockholm with the possibility of working remotely two days a week.

Your daily tasks

As a Senior Accounting Consultant, you will operate in a dynamic, highly regulated financial environment and manage complex reporting processes with high accuracy.

Your key duties will include:

• Supporting and executing financial and regulatory reporting activities for both local and group requirements
• Managing reporting to the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen), the Riksbank, and Statistics Sweden (SCB)
• Applying IFRS standards practically within the banking environment
• Handling hedge accounting, including documentation, effectiveness testing, and ongoing reporting requirements
• Interpreting and implementing new regulatory and accounting requirements
• Managing accounting treatments for financial instruments and navigating complex group reporting and consolidation processes

Your characteristics

To succeed in this role, you are a self-motivated professional with strong analytical skills and a high commitment to accuracy and quality. You feel comfortable taking ownership of complex tasks independently while navigating an international, highly regulated group structure. You possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, allowing you to collaborate effectively across different teams and levels within the organization.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in senior accounting and financial reporting roles within the banking sector
• Proven experience with regulatory reporting to Finansinspektionen
• Hands-on experience with reporting to the Riksbank and Statistics Sweden (SCB)
• Strong, practical knowledge of IFRS within a banking context
• Experience with hedge accounting (documentation, effectiveness testing, and reporting)
• Solid understanding of financial instruments and their accounting treatments
• Experience from an international group environment, including group reporting and consolidation processes
• Fluent in English (written and spoken

Meritorious:

• Experience supporting audits and interacting with external auditors
• Experience in regulatory change projects or implementing new reporting requirements
• Experience from dynamic and complex financial organizations

Contract type and hours

Full-time, consulting assignment until 2028-04-11. Start 2026-11-05.
