Om jobbet

ConScience AB is a dynamic and innovative company advancing superconducting quantum devices and technologies. We are looking for a Quantum Measurement Engineer to join our growing team and play a key role in the characterization and continued development of our superconducting quantum devices.

About the Role:

As a Quantum Measurement Engineer at ConScience, you will take an active, hands-on role in the experimental characterization of superconducting quantum devices. You will set up and conduct measurements, analyze experimental data, and translate results into insights about device performance. A key part of the role is independently planning, performing, and troubleshooting experiments while developing reliable and reproducible measurement and analysis workflows. At the same time, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to deliver high-quality results for R&D and commercial projects.

What You’ll Do:

• Set up, conduct, troubleshoot, analyze, and interpret experimental measurements of superconducting quantum devices

• Characterize and calibrate quantum devices and circuits and evaluate key device-performance parameters

• Develop and improve measurement protocols and experimental methods for device characterization

• Develop scientific software, measurement, and data-analysis workflows

• Analyze experimental data, identify trends and sources of error

• Prepare and handle samples, including mounting and basic hardware assembly

• Contribute to reliable and reproducible measurement procedures and laboratory workflows

• Document experimental methods, results, and conclusions clearly

• Collaborate closely with the team and communicate technical results to colleagues, collaborators, and clients

What We’re Looking For:

We are looking for someone who enjoys experimental problem-solving and is comfortable moving between hands-on laboratory work, data analysis, and scientific programming.

Required qualifications:

• MSc in physics, applied physics, electrical engineering, computer science, quantum engineering, nanotechnology, or another relevant STEM field

• Hands-on experience independently setting up, conducting, troubleshooting, and interpreting experimental measurements

• Experience with scientific programming and data analysis

• Comfortable with practical laboratory work, including sample handling, mounting, and basic hardware assembly

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in an interdisciplinary team

• Good written and spoken English

Meritorious Qualifications:

You do not need to have experience in all of the areas below. Experience in one or more is considered an advantage:

• Superconducting qubits, Josephson-junction devices, or other cryogenic quantum devices

• Qubit characterization and calibration

• Two-qubit gate calibration and characterization

• Multi-qubit devices or larger superconducting quantum circuits and architectures

• Dilution refrigerators and cryogenic measurement setups

• RF/microwave measurements and instrumentation

• Automated experimental measurement and data-analysis workflows

• Design of superconducting qubits or other superconducting circuits

• RF/microwave device packaging and integration

• Noise, decoherence, and crosstalk in superconducting quantum devices

Why Join Us?

At ConScience AB, you will be part of an ambitious, passionate, and diverse team advancing superconducting quantum technology. We offer a flexible, collaborative, and intellectually stimulating environment where ideas, initiative, and practical problem-solving are valued, and where you will have with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across both quantum science and industry.

Ready to help characterize the next generation of quantum devices?
