TSL - About Us

TSL is a leading technical engineering and construction partner across EMEA, the Americas and APAC, creating spaces for the fourth industrial revolution and a positive environmental and social legacy. An equal opportunity employer with colleagues from 57 nationalities, we invest in our people and work with clients and supply chains to deliver quality.

Role Description

The Project Quality Partner supports successful project delivery through robust quality systems, assurance procedures and practical tools that support ISO 9001 certification and meet client expectations. Working with project teams, suppliers and contractors, the role embeds quality requirements throughout delivery, from planning and inspections to completion and handover. A “Right First Time” approach helps prevent defects, eliminate delivery errors and build a shared commitment to consistent quality.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

- Compliance and assurance: Maintain compliance with current standards, building codes and regulations. Implement quality procedures, inspections and audits that translate project requirements into consistent site practices and help prevent defects.

- Quality control and risks: Develop and oversee Inspection & Test Plans, quality sign-offs and hold points. Identify quality risks early, coordinate mitigation and corrective action, and follow through on defects throughout delivery.

- Reporting and handover: Maintain clear inspection, test and audit records, providing stakeholders with visibility of quality status and outstanding issues. Ensure that quality documentation and required deliverables are complete and available at handover.

- Suppliers and clients: Manage supplier and contractor quality, review and approve quality plans, and align delivery with project specifications. Work with clients to understand and resolve quality concerns during and after completion, meeting or exceeding expectations.

- Training and improvement: Train project teams and contractors on quality requirements and procedures. Use inspection findings, root cause analysis and lessons learned to improve processes, increase efficiency and reinforce a shared commitment to quality.

Key Competencies

- Quality planning, inspection and testing, completion strategies and specification compliance; knowledge of current local and international construction regulations.

- Project lifecycle awareness and continuous improvement experience are beneficial, alongside analytical problem-solving, data-driven decisions and essential root cause analysis skills.

- Strong communication, training, leadership and conflict resolution skills; cultural change experience is beneficial. Quality software proficiency is beneficial; electronic field, audit and project tools may be required.

Skills and Experience Required

- Significant experience leading construction quality and a bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, quality management or a related discipline.

- Solid ISO 9001 and certification knowledge is often required; lead-audit experience is an asset. ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 knowledge is advantageous.

- Chartered Quality Professional (CQP): Membership of a recognised quality management professional body, such as CQI.
