Job description:

Optimise production performance and capacity in Karlskrona

Would you like to improve how production capacity, testing and maintenance are planned within a growing international organisation? As Production Performance Analytics Specialist, you will analyse operational data, identify bottlenecks and forecast disruptions before they affect output, quality or operational stability. This is an opportunity to support NKT’s expanding cable production and contribute to the infrastructure required for the green transition.

Turn operational data into practical production improvements

Working within Operation Analytics, you will support predictable and efficient production and testing. You will combine capacity analysis, performance indicators, scenario modelling and operational forecasts to identify limitations and recommend improvements. Your analysis will support production planning, shift structures, resource allocation, maintenance and equipment utilisation.

Your responsibility will be to:

  • Produce production and testing capacity forecasts for 2–6 weeks and 3–12 months
  • Identify bottlenecks across production, testing and material flows
  • Analyse performance patterns and prepare clear decision material
  • Recommend improvements to capacity, staffing, pacing and equipment planning
  • Provide weekly performance signals and quarterly capacity analyses

The position is based in Karlskrona, Sweden, and involves close cooperation with Operations, Planning, Engineering and Testing. You will also support line organisations in using predictive models independently. Any travel requirements will be discussed during the recruitment process.

Profile description:

Analytical professional who communicates practical recommendations clearly

You are curious, structured and comfortable working with several operational perspectives at the same time. You assess information carefully and communicate findings in a way that helps different functions make informed decisions. You enjoy cross-functional cooperation and take a practical approach to complex production questions. You are also comfortable sharing knowledge and helping colleagues use analytical methods independently.

You also have:

  • Knowledge of production performance and capacity analysis
  • Experience with operational forecasting and scenario modelling
  • Ability to analyse production and testing performance indicators
  • Understanding of production planning, resource allocation and equipment utilisation
  • Ability to translate data patterns into practical improvement initiatives

Improve cable production for a greener energy system

We aim to create a workplace where people of all backgrounds are valued, supported, and able to do their best work. We are dedicated to increasing gender diversity at NKT and welcome applications from a wide range of candidates. We welcome varied backgrounds and career paths—even if you don’t meet every single requirement. We believe inclusive teams contribute to positive results and create a better everyday work environment.

This role offers opportunities for career development, collaboration across several operational functions and continued development of your analytical skills in an international setting. You will work with production, testing, engineering and planning while contributing to more predictable operations during NKT’s continued expansion.

As a leader, I value clear analysis that helps our teams identify capacity constraints early and make well-founded operational decisions,” says Hiring Manager, Magnus Röstlund.
