Procurement Project Manager

Nordic Investin has been engaged by a partner company to find a Procurement Project Manager. You can hold commercial leverage, technical scope and delivery timing in the same conversation.

The partner is sourcing complex services and equipment for a major business initiative. You will lead procurement from market strategy through signed agreement, coordinating technical owners, legal specialists, finance and suppliers around a defensible commercial outcome.

Projects are judged by operational outcomes, benefit ownership and the quality of decisions made along the way. Governance should create clarity and momentum while making risk visible early enough for meaningful action.

You will create a practical delivery rhythm across workstreams with different owners and incentives. The partner expects concise preparation, explicit dependencies and decisions recorded clearly enough to survive handovers. Escalation should bring options and consequences, not only a problem statement.

As a senior colleague, you will own substantial outcomes and help others make stronger decisions. You are expected to recognise risk early, communicate it without drama and move work forward with practical alternatives. Seniority here means broader judgement and follow through, not distance from delivery.

• Develop sourcing strategy and procurement project plans.

• Translate business and technical needs into clear tender material.

• Lead supplier qualification, evaluation and negotiation.

• Coordinate commercial, legal and technical workstreams.

• Manage procurement risks, decisions and executive approvals.

• Support contract mobilisation and supplier handover.

• Senior procurement or strategic sourcing experience.

• Evidence of leading complex competitive tenders.

• Strong commercial and contractual negotiation capability.

• Ability to understand detailed scopes and delivery plans.

• Structured stakeholder and project management skills.

• Professional English and confidence with senior suppliers.

• Construction, engineering, technology or outsourced services.

• International supplier markets.

• Public procurement or regulated sourcing.

Your background may be procurement, project management, commercial management or category leadership. We are interested in situations where you protected both value and delivery, especially when requirements evolved or the preferred commercial position was contested.

You will lead a procurement with visible business impact and genuine negotiating scope. The partner offers strong subject matter support while expecting you to create the process, pace and commercial clarity.

The exact partner, employment model, compensation, start date and working arrangement will be explained openly during the process. Nordic Investin will make sure you understand the context, expectations and decision path before you are asked to commit significant time.

During the process, Nordic Investin will focus on concrete decisions you have made: the context you received, the alternatives you considered, the result you observed and what you would change today. You do not need every optional credential if your core experience transfers and you can explain how you would close the gap.
