Are you an experienced Midwife looking for a new career opportunity in Sweden?

We are currently recruiting Midwives to join the maternity and women's healthcare department at a modern regional hospital in central Sweden. This is an opportunity to work in a healthcare environment where patient safety, teamwork, and professional development are highly valued.

You will become part of a dedicated team providing high-quality care for women throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period.

About the role

As a Midwife, you will work at a well-established regional hospital together with obstetricians, pediatricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Providing care during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period
  • Monitoring the health and wellbeing of both mother and newborn
  • Supporting women and families throughout the maternity journey
  • Providing patient education and counselling
  • Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Contributing to safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care
  • Participating in the continuous development of maternity and women's healthcare services

The department is committed to delivering high-quality care while supporting professional growth and continuous learning.

Requirements

  • Hold a valid Midwife license issued in an EU/EEA country
  • Minimum one year of documented experience as a Midwife
  • Good English language skills
  • Motivation to learn Swedish
  • Motivation to relocate and work in Sweden on a long-term basis

Meritorious

  • Experience in labour and delivery care
  • Experience working in a hospital-based maternity department
  • Knowledge of Swedish or another Scandinavian language
