Om jobbet

Make It with Pride — Join Mondelēz International

At Mondelēz International, we empower people to snack right. We are one of the world's leading snack companies, home to iconic brands loved around the globe — including Milka, Oreo, Toblerone, and Marabou. Our purpose is to lead the future of snacking by offering the right snack, for the right moment, made the right way.

For our Upplands Väsby plant, home of Marabou, Daim, Oboy and pralines we are now looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our Asset Reliability team and play a key role in driving equipment reliability, availability, and cost-effective maintenance across our site.

About the Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability and availability through strategic preventive and predictive maintenance, aligned with our IL6S (Integrated Lean 6 Sigma) strategy. Working closely with PM Planners, Maintenance Technicians, CI Engineers, Process Engineers, and the QA department, you will develop and improve our maintenance processes — with the ultimate goal of zero breakdowns and cost-efficient maintenance.

What You'll Do

  • Maintenance Strategy & Planning — Develop, implement, and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance plans. Lead the IL6S PM Pillar development and ensure strategy quality and compliance.
  • Reliability Analysis & RCA — Lead root cause analyses (RCA) and reliability studies to identify and eliminate recurring equipment failures. Conduct Life Cycle Cost (LCC) analyses and feed insights into the CAPEX roadmap.
  • Competence Development — Drive training and capability building within the maintenance team and among Line Technical Leads in preventive maintenance methodology, Progressive Maintenance (PM) methods, and SAP PM usage.
  • Continuous Improvement & Projects — Actively lead and participate in improvement projects, systematically eliminate operational disruptions, and contribute to the continuous development of the maintenance function.
  • Project Management — Drive maintenance-related projects and act as requirements owner in investment projects related to maintainability and maintenance safety.
  • Spare Parts Management — Optimize spare parts handling, ensure inventory accuracy, and drive efficient use of resources.
  • KPI Tracking & Analysis — Compile, analyze, and report maintenance KPIs including MTBB (Mean Time Between Breakdowns), equipment reliability, and % TBM/CBM completion.
  • Calibration Ownership — Own and continuously develop the calibration program in collaboration with the Quality department.
  • Cost Management — Analyze and follow up on maintenance costs — including the balance between reactive and preventive maintenance — to identify improvement opportunities and ensure cost efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance — Ensure all maintenance work meets quality requirements per GMP standards and owns the maintenance routines that describe how work is performed.

What You'll Bring

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience in maintenance engineering within a manufacturing environment, preferably FMCG
  • Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
  • Experience with root cause analysis (RCA) and reliability methodologies and Life Cycle Cost (LCC) analyses.
  • Familiarity with IL6S / TPM / World Class Manufacturing principles
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with maintenance KPIs
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Fluent in Swedish and English

What We Offer

  • A key role in Asset Reliability organization at a world-class manufacturing site
  • The opportunity to shape and drive the maintenance strategy with real impact on operational performance
  • A collaborative environment where you work closely with PM Planners, CI Engineers, Process Engineers, and QA
  • Development opportunities within Mondelēz International's global network
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package
