About us

At E.ON, technology is a key enabler of building a great customer experience. Our Software Engineering department brings together the engineering capabilities needed to develop digital solutions that create value for our customers and businesses across E.ON.

We are now looking for a Manager Frontend Development to lead one of our developer teams with a strong focus on frontend technologies. You will lead a diverse team of around 20 employees, including iOS, Android, web and CRM developers, UX specialists and solution architects. It’s a team with broad expertise, plenty of ideas and a shared curiosity about how we can build even better digital experiences.

Your role

As Manager Frontend Development, you will lead, coach and develop a highly skilled team while ensuring that E.ON has the engineering capabilities needed for the future. With a passion for both people and technology, you create an environment where collaboration, learning and customer value are at the centre, while strengthening engineering practices and ways of working.

In your role, you will:

• Lead, coach and develop employees working across different cross-functional product teams, creating engagement and opportunities for continuous growth.
• Ensure the right capabilities and capacity to meet current and future business and technology needs.
• Strengthen engineering practices together with developers, architects and engineering leaders, with a focus on quality, AI and modern development tools.
• Collaborate across E.ON's BizDevOps organization and international engineering communities to share best practices and continuously improve how we build digital solutions.

Who we are looking for

We believe you have a background in software development, giving you a strong understanding of the opportunities and challenges developers face in their daily work. You have experience leading developers or technical teams and know how to coach others, create direction and build an environment where people can grow. A relevant academic degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems or a related field is beneficial.

As a leader, you build trust and give people room to take ownership while being clear about expectations and direction. You bring energy and curiosity, enjoy getting things moving and are not afraid to explore new ideas together with others in an evolving environment. With your ability to engage and inspire others, you bring people along and create a culture where different perspectives and experiences are valued. You have a genuine interest in modern software engineering and enjoy exploring how technology can create better experiences for customers and value for the business.

What is it like to work with us?

Your manager, Kristina Engström, leads through trust, clarity and a strong belief in people's ability to grow. You will be part of the department’s management team together with three other managers, working closely to set direction, share perspectives and develop both the organization and your teams. You will be given freedom and responsibility to shape your area, with the support of both Kristina and your management team colleagues.
