Om jobbet

🚀 We’re Hiring: Senior Maintenance Engineer – Test Facilities, Automation & Electrical Systems

Hykmann Global Business Solutions AB is looking for an experienced Senior Maintenance Engineer for a challenging consulting assignment with an internationally renowned client in advanced engineering, testing, and research & development.

Are you passionate about maintenance engineering, electrical systems, automation, and troubleshooting complex technical equipment? This opportunity allows you to take responsibility for the reliability and performance of advanced test facilities used for research, development, testing, and verification.

We’re looking for a technically strong professional who can combine hands-on maintenance expertise with maintenance planning, continuous improvement, supplier coordination, and lifecycle management of equipment.

🎯 About the Role

As a Senior Maintenance Engineer, you will plan, coordinate, and improve preventive and corrective maintenance across a variety of systems within an advanced R&D test facility containing multiple test cells.

You will work with electrical and automation equipment, test rigs, measurement systems, and supporting infrastructure. In addition to daily maintenance activities, you will contribute to larger technical projects, develop maintenance procedures, coordinate external service providers, and support cost optimization and equipment reliability.

This is a senior role that requires independent problem-solving, technical judgement, and the ability to manage complex maintenance activities with limited supervision.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance across test facility equipment and systems.
  • Troubleshoot faults and perform maintenance activities on technical equipment used in testing and verification.
  • Maintain and improve the reliability, availability, and performance of test infrastructure.
  • Develop, review, and maintain maintenance procedures, routines, and work instructions within the maintenance management system.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities involving dynamometer systems, drive systems, battery simulators, PLCs, conditioning systems, camera systems, automation I/O systems, and test measurement equipment.
  • Participate in larger engineering projects, equipment upgrades, and facility modification projects.
  • Manage technical documentation, equipment calibration, data collection, and lifecycle analysis of electrical equipment.
  • Read and interpret flow diagrams, electrical drawings, technical manuals, and equipment documentation.
  • Plan and coordinate external service personnel and subcontractors.
  • Manage spare-parts requirements, service contracts, and maintenance-related purchasing.
  • Contribute to maintenance budgets, cost optimization initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Support equipment selection and technical evaluations when new equipment or systems are required.
  • Coach and support colleagues and contribute to the development of maintenance practices and technical competence.

✅ Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Typically more than 5 years of relevant maintenance engineering experience.
  • Experience planning, coordinating, monitoring, and improving maintenance operations.
  • Practical experience using maintenance management software or maintenance systems.
  • Strong technical understanding of electrical equipment, automation systems, and industrial or test facility infrastructure.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, flow diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical specifications.
  • Experience with troubleshooting, fault analysis, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach to technical challenges.
  • Ability to coordinate service providers, manage maintenance activities, and work independently.
  • Fluent Swedish and English, both written and spoken.

⭐ Meritorious Experience

Experience in one or more of the following areas will be an advantage:

  • Maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment in test facilities, laboratories, or R&D environments.
  • Maintenance of production equipment or other technically complex industrial installations.
  • Dynamometer systems, test rigs, battery simulators, drive systems, or electrical test equipment.
  • PLC-based automation, instrumentation, measurement systems, and test infrastructure.
  • Equipment calibration, lifecycle analysis, and technical documentation.
  • Maintenance planning, service contract management, spare-parts optimization, and budget follow-up.
  • Participation in equipment installation, upgrades, or facility modification projects.

👤 Our Ideal Candidate

You are a structured and proactive maintenance engineer who enjoys investigating technical problems and finding reliable, cost-effective solutions.

You combine a strong interest in technology with practical maintenance experience and an understanding of how equipment reliability affects testing, development, and production activities.

You are comfortable taking ownership of complex maintenance tasks, coordinating external service providers, and improving established procedures. You also communicate effectively, collaborate with different technical teams, and take a continuous-improvement approach to your work.

📩 Interested in This Opportunity?

If you have experience in maintenance engineering, electrical systems, automation, and technical equipment within industrial, laboratory, or R&D environments, we would love to hear from you.

Please submit your updated CV highlighting:

  • Your maintenance engineering experience and relevant technical qualifications.
  • Your experience with test equipment, electrical systems, and automation.
  • Your maintenance planning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement experience.
  • Your experience with maintenance management systems, contractors, service contracts, and equipment lifecycle management.
  • Your language proficiency and availability.
