Health and Safety Coordinator

HOCHTIEF Infrastructure GmbH is looking for an experienced and motivated Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team in Södertälje/ Vagnhärad.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled HSE and Quality coordinator with experience in construction, infrastructure, industrial, or large-scale project environments. In this role, you will support and coordinate occupational health, safety, environmental, and quality activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with legal, contractual, and company requirements.

You will work closely with project management, subcontractors, clients, and authorities to continuously improve safety performance, quality assurance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with HSE and quality requirements.
• Manage project documentation and control programs.
• Coordinate onboarding, training, and HSE inductions.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and site safety activities.
• Prepare HSE and quality reports, including incident reporting.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with HSE and quality standards.
• Liaise with clients, authorities, and other stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement of project HSE and quality performance.
• Collaborate closely with the Project HSE & Quality Manager and project team.

Qualifications

We are looking for a professional who combines technical knowledge with strong communication and coordination skills.

Required

• Experience working in HSE, EHS, Quality Assurance, or HSEQ roles within construction, infrastructure, industrial, or engineering projects.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001/1400 and occupational health and safety management systems.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, risk management, and systematic work environment management.
• Ability to independently plan, coordinate, and drive HSE and quality activities.
• Experience managing and maintaining project documentation.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to identify risks and implement preventive actions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based systems.

Meritorious

• Experience from major infrastructure projects.
• Experience working throughout the full project lifecycle, from tender phase to project completion.
• Experience conducting internal audits.
• Experience with the Swedish Transport Administration's systems, such as PPI and Chaos.
