Om jobbet

Would you like to work in a meaningful role where you will plan, organize, and deliver a wide range of on-site and digital events while making a real difference in people’s lives? At Connecting Jobs, you will become an important part of a non-profit organization dedicated to support, inclusion, and social impact.

Connecting Jobs, part of Beredskapslyftet, is looking for an Event Coordinator to coordinate and deliver a variety of digital and on-site events, from educational activities to recruitment initiatives. Connecting Jobs helps newcomers in Sweden enter the labor market. By collaborating with committed employers and partners, we build bridges between skills and opportunities, creating meaningful connections that benefit both individuals and businesses.

In this role you will take ownership of each event from initial planning to final follow-up, ensuring that every detail is in place and each event achieves its objectives. You will also provide the organizational, administrative, and marketing support needed to make our events successful and engaging.

This is a 75% fixed-term position with start as soon as possible until the end of February 2027, based in central Stockholm.

Key responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for the full event organization process, from promoting events on social media to preparing the event schedule, badges, banners, registration forms, and other materials
  • For events, shortlist candidates and manage communication with them before and after the event
  • Confirm participants, host and support speakers, and handle the necessary event agreements and documents
  • Give presentations to audiences in both Swedish and English
  • Provide technical, organizational, and marketing support during events
  • Run and coordinate digital events in Microsoft Teams
  • Support the production of handouts and branded visual materials for events
  • Keep marketing materials and event equipment in order and order new supplies in advance
  • Plan and manage event budgets
  • Keep in contact with participants and collect their feedback
  • Analyze the effectiveness of completed events and suggest improvements
  • Report to the Community Lead and provide event reports as needed.

Requirements (mandatory):

  • Fluent Swedish, spoken and written
  • English at upper-intermediate level or higher
  • Proven experience in creating and running events, both physical and digital
  • Experience in public speaking in both Swedish and English, for example hosting, moderating or presenting at events.

Your profile:

  • You have strong organizational and administrative skills
  • You have ability to stay calm and act quickly in unexpected situations during events, such as speaker cancellations, technical failures, or last-minute venue changes
  • You follow established business processes and rules
  • You are solution-oriented, have ability to overcome obstacles, and find ways to get tasks done
  • You have well-developed communication skills, both oral and written.

What we offer:

  • Fixed-term employment at 75% of full-time, until the end of February 2027
  • Office working hours
  • An office in central Stockholm with possibility to work remotely from home from time to time
  • Opportunities to travel and flexibility to adjust working hours when events require it.

Location: Olof Palmes gata, Stockholm, with the possibility of hybrid working.
