Job description: Join our Team

As the technology company that created the mobile world, with more than 54,000 patents, we have made it our business to make a difference. At Ericsson, you are empowered to learn, contribute and perform at your best while helping to shape the future of technology. You are welcomed for the skills, talent and perspectives you bring. Are you in?

Come and be where it begins.

About this opportunity:

Ericsson's Radio Power Design team in Lindholmen is responsible for the research, development and maintenance of power solutions for a large part of the Ericsson Radio product portfolio. We are part of Ericsson's global design organization, developing products for today's and tomorrow's mobile networks.

As a Junior Power Designer, you will join an experienced team and develop your skills through hands-on design work, laboratory measurements, simulation and collaboration across technical disciplines. You will contribute your technical foundation, curiosity and fresh perspectives while learning how robust power solutions are developed for advanced radio products. We use modern design and simulation tools to develop high-performing products, evaluate new technologies and methods, and continuously improve our way of working. Our competence center is built on teamwork, knowledge sharing and a strong learning culture.

We are looking for someone who is structured, analytical and eager to learn. You enjoy solving technical problems, communicate clearly and take responsibility for your work while collaborating effectively with others.

What you will do:

  • Design and develop power solutions for Ericsson Radio products together with experienced colleagues.
  • Work with DC/DC converter design, schematic design and component selection.
  • Use design and simulation tools to evaluate solutions before and during hardware development.
  • Perform design verification, troubleshooting and hands-on measurements in the laboratory.
  • Analyze results and propose improvements to product performance, quality and robustness.
  • Collaborate with radio, digital hardware, radio software, mechanical, thermal and verification teams.
  • Work with colleagues, suppliers and design partners across Ericsson's global organization.
  • Explore and learn to apply AI-assisted methods in power electronics design, verification, troubleshooting, data analysis and technical documentation.
  • Contribute to product maintenance and continuous improvement.

The skills you bring:

  • A recently completed or soon-to-be-completed Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics or a related field, or equivalent technical competence.
  • Fundamental knowledge of power electronics and DC/DC converter design.
  • Basic understanding of hardware design, schematic diagrams, PCB layout and electronic components.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, electronic loads and power supplies.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.

Additional qualifications:

  • Knowledge of simulation tools such as SIMPLIS, LTspice or PSpice.
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following areas: digital design, embedded systems or firmware development in C.
  • Experience with requirement breakdown, technical analysis, product design or verification gained through coursework, university projects, thesis work or internships.
