This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the evolution of our Product Lifecycle Management landscape, working with stakeholders across the global organisation to drive continuous improvement, enable business capabilities, and support the future of product development.

Your Role

As a PDM/PLM Specialist, you will be responsible for driving and supporting initiatives that strengthen our PLM capabilities and maximize the value of our PLM systems. You will work closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and IT teams across Volvo Group to identify opportunities, define future ways of working, and ensure our solutions continue to support business needs in a rapidly evolving environment.

You will be part of a global network of experts and contribute to strategic initiatives that impact Product Development, Manufacturing, Sales & Marketing, and Aftermarket functions.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Lead, drive, and actively contribute to PDM/PLM-related business investigations, initiatives, and epics within the PLM domain.
• Manage and prioritize your own portfolio of activities and improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to enhance business processes and maximize the value delivered by our PLM solutions.
• Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices within the PDM/PLM area to drive continuous improvement.
• Support the definition and development of future processes, methods, and required system capabilities.
• Collaborate with specialists, business stakeholders, and digital product managers across multiple functions, sites, and Volvo Group organizations worldwide.
• Create and deliver high-quality presentations, training materials, and educational content.
• Share knowledge and coach colleagues to strengthen overall PLM competence within the organization.

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for someone who has:

• A B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Engineering or another relevant field.
• Extensive experience within product development engineering.
• Strong experience working with PDM and/or PLM processes and systems.
• Good understanding of Product Lifecycle Management methodologies and best practices.
• Experience driving business improvements, investigations, or transformation initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics to different audiences.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
