DesignOps-Lead with a focus on Design Systems

About the role

As a DesignOps-lead, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining the client's central design infrastructure. You will work both strategically and operationally with design systems, processes, and ways of working to create a seamless connection between design and product development.

Work tasks

The role involves owning and developing the design infrastructure to support a large design organization, as well as driving the technical management and development of the design systems.

• Manage the central tool stack, including Figma
• Drive the strategic and technical development of the design system
• Facilitate the adoption of the design system across product development teams
• Collaborate with internal design and product teams to align ways of working
• Translate strategic initiatives into practical processes and methods
• Structure and optimize the use of design tools
• Act as a connecting link between design, product, and development

About you

• Has at least 5 years of experience working with design systems
• Has experience in DesignOps, design processes, or similar roles within product development
• Has a strong technical understanding of modern product development environments
• Has experience with Figma and preferably other tools related to design and product development
• Is accustomed to working cross-functionally with designers, developers, and product organizations
• Has experience driving and implementing new ways of working and processes
• Is fluent in English, both spoken and written

It is a plus if you have

• Experience leading or coordinating design systems

• Experience with governance and management of central design tools

• Experience with organizational change and adoption in larger organizations

• Experience working closely with frontend development and component libraries
