About the role

As a Credit Analyst at Northmill, you will play a key role in finding the right balance between sustainable business growth and responsible risk management. You will work across the entire credit lifecycle, from new customer acquisition and loan origination to portfolio monitoring and collections.

Through data-driven analysis, you will identify opportunities to improve our credit policies, optimise portfolio performance and ensure that our lending strategies remain aligned with Northmill's risk appetite.

This is a hands-on and analytical role where your insights and recommendations will have a direct impact on business decisions. You will work closely with colleagues across Credit Risk, Data Science, Data Engineering, Product and Marketing, translating complex analyses into actionable recommendations.

You will report to the Head of Credit Risk for B2C.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyse credit performance and identify opportunities to improve Northmill's credit policies and lending strategies.

  • Continuously monitor lending portfolios throughout the credit lifecycle, identifying trends, deviations and potential risks.

  • Develop data-driven recommendations and present proposals to the Credit Committee.

  • Follow up on implemented changes and evaluate their impact on portfolio performance and profitability.

  • Collaborate with Data Scientists on the development and ongoing improvement of credit models.

  • Work closely with Data Engineers to ensure data infrastructure and management support effective credit analysis.

  • Partner with Product and Marketing to balance lending growth, revenue generation and credit risk.

  • Represent the Credit function in cross-functional projects and drive the implementation of approved initiatives.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone with a strong analytical mindset, a genuine curiosity for understanding data and business performance, and the ability to turn insights into meaningful actions.

You are comfortable working independently, taking ownership of your analyses and making recommendations even when information is not always complete. You also enjoy collaborating with different stakeholders and can communicate complex analytical findings in a clear and accessible way.

We believe you have:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.

  • Experience as a Credit Analyst, Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.

  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.

  • Experience working with SQL and Snowflake for data querying and manipulation.

  • Advanced Excel skills.

  • Experience using AI tools such as Claude and/or Cursor in your day-to-day analytical work.

  • Fluency in both Swedish and English, verbally and in writing.
